As you may remember from Grades 6 and 7, Scratch can be used to create interactive games and animations.
For Grade 8 Scratch, you will have the following three options:
- Create whatever you want in Scratch, without having to follow specific directions or instructions. If you choose this option, you should already have a pretty solid understanding of Scratch. Otherwise, you may find it too difficult.
- You may find an instructional Scratch video on YouTube and then follow those directions to make your Scratch project. See below for some YouTube options.
- You may ask Mr. Locke for a Scratch book. In the book, you will find several different games that you can make and the book will also provide you with detailed instructions about how to make them.
To get started with one of these options, you will first need to create your own Scratch account. Even if you already have a Scratch account, I want you to create a brand new one for this year's Tech class.
