Before you begin, you need to read ALL of the information on this page.
Then you can click one of the buttons at the bottom of this page and Code.org will open in a new window. On the Code.org website, you will see a list of names. You will need to click on your name and then click the secret picture that will be your password. To receive your secret picture password, you can email me (david.locke@nbed.nb.ca). I will then get back to you as soon as possible. Once you've clicked both your name and secret picture, you can click the 'Sign in' button. Then, just enter your age and you'll be ready to begin.

Note the different coloured circles above. This is one of the ways in which your coding progress will be assessed by Mr. Locke.
If a circle is white or yellow, it means that the puzzle has not been completed. If a circle is light green, it means that the puzzle has been completed, but you could have done it more efficiently, using fewer blocks. If a circle is dark green, it means that the puzzle has been completed perfectly. Note also that you do NOT have to complete any rows that begin with the words 'Unplugged Activity'. |
Whenever you want to work on the Code.org lessons, it is very important that you log in through our Tech website. In other words, you ALWAYS need to visit this page, click the appropriate button below, and then sign in by clicking your name and secret picture.
If you don't do this, you may still be able to work on the Code.org website. However, none of your progress will be recorded on your account, which means that Mr. Locke will not be able to assess what you've done. |
