You must read everything on this page before you begin working on the Code.org website!

However, if you've already started working on Code.org, then you can just scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the course you have selected.

Note the different coloured circles above. This is one of the ways in which your coding progress will be assessed by Mr. Locke.

If a circle is white or yellow, it means that the puzzle has not been completed.

If a circle is light green, it means that the puzzle has been completed, but you could have done it using fewer blocks. This is okay, but it's always a good idea to take a second look at your code and see if you can accomplish the task more efficiently.

If a circle is dark green, it means that the puzzle has been completed perfectly.

Whenever you want to work on Code.org, it is very important that you make sure you are logged in with your school email address and password.

If you don't do this, the Code.org website may still allow you to work on the exercises. However, none of your progress will be recorded on your account, which means that Mr. Locke will not be able to assess what you've done.

When you go to the Code.org website for the FIRST TIME ONLY, you will need to create your account. You will see a screen that looks like the one below:

For your display name, make sure you type your first name followed by your first initial. For example, if your name was John Smith, you would type John S for your display name.

For the email, input your school email address. For the password, input your school password.

If you need help setting up your account, check with a classmate or ask Mr. Locke.

Click the Code.org course that you would like to work on.
